This study focuses on code mixing and code switching. Code mixing and code switching occur on the communication process because many people are bilingualism or even multilingualism.The purposes of the study are to analyze the types of code mixing and code switching that is used on Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast and to analyze the possible reasons that used on the podcast. This research uses descriptive qualitative to analyze the data. The instrument of the study is the researcher herself. The researcher found the data from Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast entitled “Nadiem Makarim – Kuliah Gak Penting” then identify and determine which one the types of code mixing or code switching and also what possible reason that is used, after that analyze the data to classify into each types of code mixing or code switching and what possible reasons are used on the podcast. The result of this study shows that there are 177 utterances from the types of code mixing found on the podcast based on Hoffman’s theory. Besides, there are 37 utterances from the types of code switching that found on the podcast based on Poplack’s theory. Then, there are 180 utterances from the possible reasons that used by the speakers based on Hoffman’s theory added by Saville-Troike’s theory.
