This study aimed to analyze students perception on the use of Google Translate in helping the process of translating English text into Indonesian to the fourth-semester students of the English department at IAIN Kediri. Nowadays, online translation services provide relatively high level of accuracy. This study specified on one of the services which is Google Translate. Google Translate application also allows users to learn the correct pronunciation, as spoken by the native speakers of a language. This allows Google Translate to be a trusted foreign language learning partner for university-level students. In addition, this application also provides a lot of diction or word choices, which can make it easier for students to enrich the vocabulary of a language. The data for this study were collected using online guestionnaires and online interviews, each of which was 173 respondents and 15 interviewees. This study used a mixed-method with gualitative and guantitative approaches. The guantitative data in this study were processed using statistical software, namely IBM SPSS 26.0 The result of this research, based on students perception on the use of Google Translate, precisely explain that Google Translate had an important contribution in providing effectiveness and efficiency in translating English- Indonesian text. In addition, Google Translate provided many advantages for students because it translated English-Indonesian text much faster and free of charge. More importantly, Google Translates facilities, such as a word detector and voice facility, made it very easy for students in the process of translating English-Indonesian text.
