Nowadays, technology has very important role in our lives. It can be used as online learning platforms. Besides the ease of using online learning platform, it is much needed for learning during pandemic covid-19. The growth of technology in education field brings popular issue that is Learning Management System (LMS). One of the popular LMS is Google Classroom. The purpose of this study are: (1) identity the students‟ perception on the use of Google Classroom for learning English, (2) the challenges on the use of Google Classroom for learning English and (3) the solutions on the use of Google Classroom for learning English in twelve grade of SMAN 1 Plemahan. The method of this study is quantitative research and the design of this study is survey research. The sample of this study is 166 students. The questionnaires and interviews are collected as the data of this study. The questionnaire consists of 20 items that was divided by three parts, first is about students‟ perception of using Google Classroom contained 9 items, second is about the challenges of using Google Classroom contained 6 items, and the last is about the solution of using Google Classroom contained 5 items. Eight students were also interviewed to know more information while they used Google Classroom for learning English. The result of this study shows that learning English through Google Classroom gets positive perceptions from the students. Most the participants said that Google Classroom is useful, easy to be used everywhere and anytime, it saves students time, money and paper, and free facilities of the feature help students for learning English. The challenges that faced by students are poor internet connection, incomplete features, and cannot be used communicate privately. The solution that faced by students are looking for good connection, search on internet about English material, install other applications. Therefore, Google Classroom can be used for learning English in twelve grade of SMAN 1 Plemahan and in other subject.
