An Analysis Of EFL Students’ Perceptions In Reading Comprehension Using Google Classroom And Google Meet As Online Collaborative Tools
Abstrak
Pandemic covid-19 has impacts on human life in the world, especially in the education sector. Learning activities are switched to the online learning system. The teachers have to use technology in teaching the students. Some teachers collaborate on more than one platform in online learning. This research is amied to analyze students’ perception toward reading comprehension using online collaborative tools using Google Classroom and Google Meet. The method of this research is the descriptive method use quantitative and qualitative approarchs. The data was gathered from questionnaire, interview, and observation. The researcher used open-ended and closed ended questionnaires for the students. There are thirty students to answer the questionnaire and there are five students to answer five questions of deep interview from the researcher. For the observation, the researcher followed the meeting in the online class. The result of this study shows that EFL students have positive perceptions of using Google Classroom and Google Meet as online collaborative tools in reading comprehension. The positive perception came from their experience in the online learning process. Using collaboration of Google Classroom and Google Meet can make students understand the material of reading. The use of both Google Classroom and Google Meet is effective platform and easy to operate in online learning.
