Teaching Strategies In Learning Process Toward Students‟ Attitude Change In Freedom Writers Movie
Abstrak
This thesis aims to analyze Eva and Marcus attitude change in Freedom Writers movies. This research is to find Eva and Macus attitudes before being told, The teacher strategies used by Erin Gruwell , and Eva and Marcus attitude change. This research used a descriptive qualitative method in analyzing and describing Eva and Marcus attitude change. The researcher analyzed the data by following some steps, first was collecting the data, second was watch the Freedom Writers movie, third was analyzing the data, fourth was classified the data taken from Freedom Writers movie and script. The fifth, describing the data, and the last was concluding. From the analysis, the results are there two attitudes before treatment form Eva, there are insulting the teacher and arguing the teacher, two attitudes before treatment from Marcus, there are not respecting the teacher and humiliating the teacher, two teaching strategy used by Mrs. Erin Gruwell, there are Cognitive strategy and affective strategy, there are six treatment used by Mrs. Erin Gruwell, there are teaching use tipe recorder and poem, changing the seat formation for all students, give logicl meaning of respect, understanding students problem by used game and dairy, invite the students in Holocaust museum and meet Holocaust victim, and invite the students to meet Miep Giep, there are two attitude change from Eva, respect the other friends and respect the teacher, there are two attitude change from Marcus, Interact with white student and respect with Mrs. Erin.
