M.Pd Keywords: politeness strategies, influencers, comment, Instagram Politeness strategies are used to understand utterance in society. Politeness strategies use to minimize or to avoid bad response. When people used politeness to communicate with each other, that means we respect with other people and reduce misunderstanding. Based on Brown and Levinson (1987), there are four types of politeness strategies, positive politeness, negative politeness, bald on record, and off record. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative design to gain the research. The researcher collect the data from the comment of Indonesians‟ influencers Instagram account. So the researcher opens comment on comments column of the influencers Instagram account to analyzed the comment that contain Politeness Strategies and determine dominant type of Politeness Stratgies. The influencers Instagram account are Gita savitri, Rachel Vennya, and Cut Rizki. From the analysis, the researcher found forty five comments consisting of three influencers. There are 21 (47,00%) positive politeness, 8 (18,00%) negative politeness, 7 (15,00%) off record, and 9 (20,00%) bald on record. The data display told that twenty one of 45 (100%) comments are using positive politeness strategies used on comments in Indonesians‟ influencers Instagram account, there are 47,00%.
