Movie is one of types in visual communication. It shows the moving pictures that tell in a cinema or on television. Movie are not only a means of entertainment, but movies are also a medium for voicing aspirations based on phenomena that exist in society, such as phenomenon that often occurs namely discrimination by the majority to minorities. One of the movies that raises the phenomenon and struggle in discrimination is Hidden Figures movie by Theodore Melfie. This research is entitled “An Analysis on the Discrimination Faced by Three African-American Woman in Hidden Figures Movie by Theodore Melfie. The aim of this research is to find and describe the discrimination faced by three African-American woman in Hidden Figures Movie and what are the three African-American do when they get discrimination in Hidden Figures Movie. Hidden Figures Movie was directed by Theodore Melfie on 25 December 2016. This movie tells the story of the three African-American woman, namely Katherine Goble, Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan. They are black woman who work at NASA who often faced discrimination.The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in doing this research. In collecting the data, the researcher used two sources, those were primary data and secondary data. The result of research showed the discrimination those are racial discrimination and gender discrimination and how they do when they get discrimination.
