This research concerns with the language, FUNCTION used in cosmetic advertisemenst. The reseacrher analyzes Make Over and Maybelline as the cosmetic. A descriptive qualitative method was employed. Roman Jacobson theories were applied in this research. The data were collected from 20 ADVERTISEMENTS
