Advances in information system technology that are increasingly sophisticated make educational institutions have to increase their competitiveness . Information system technology greatly facilitates and accelerates meeting school needs so as to provide satisfaction to customers and improve service quality. The development of management information systems in educational institutions is very much needed , therefore, MAN 2 Kediri created an application (Software) called the Education Data Information System (SIDADIK) which is able to provide information more quickly, accurately and conveniently. The focus of this research is a) How is the collection of school management information system data in improving academic services at MAN 2 Kediri? b) How is school management information system data processing in improving academic services at MAN 2 Kediri? c) How is school management information system data storage in improving academic services at MAN 2 Kediri? d) How is the use of school management information systems in improving academic services at MAN 2 Kediri?. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study will explain in depth about the school management information system starting from data collection, data processing, data storage and utilization of management information systems. This study uses data analysis Miles and Huberman. Researchers chose this type of research because it will examine in detail and intensively the application of school management information systems in improving academic services at MAN 2 Kediri. The results of this study indicate that a) Data collection of the school management information system of MAN 2 Kediri that in the data collection process there are data collectors in each program, such as teachers, waka curriculum, and students. b) Data processing on the school management information system is carried out after the data collection section submits data to the TU manager/admin. c) Data that has been processed or entered into SIDADIK is directly stored in the database. Then the data is backed up and stored elsewhere so that the data is safe when used again. For raw data such as files are stored to be used as school archives and stored in file storage cabinets. d) The benefits obtained from the management information system of MAN 2 Kediri are as a means of information for students and teachers and make it easier to collect data on teachers, students, subject values and activities at MAN 2 Kediri.^
