This thesis studied about the Ramanujans effort for education in The Man who Knew Infinity movie. The movie depicts the personality of such a great person, the presence of this movie is very evocative how an Indian who was ostracized in Cambridge because of his Indian status and to struggle his education. The objectives of this research are to describe the Ramanujan’s personality and the efforts of Srinivasa Ramanujan. The study is the type of research a descriptive qualitative. The researcher uses one kind of instrument, it is the researcher himself. The researcher becomes the data collector and analyse. The ways to collect data is by watching movie and make several research notes. After the data is obtained then the data is interpretation and analysed by the researcher. The primary data source is the movie. The theory of personality, Sigmund Freud, is used to find out the personality of the main character, Ramanujan. The theory of effort, Paul G. Stoltz, is used to find out effort of Ramanujan. After analyzing the data, the researcher finds that Ramanujans personality in The Man who Knew Infinity movie divided into eight kinds; brave, humble, spiritualist, creative, idealistic, smart, tough and loyal. While the efforts of Ramanujan in The Man who Knew Infinity movie divided into four events; when he got was replied to by Professor Hardy, when he was accepted at Cambridge University to research and publish his formula, when his theory was successfully published and gained privilege at Cambridge University, and when Ramanujans unpublished and successfully found works are enshrined in Cambridge University for study.
