Keywords: Contextual Meaning, Lexical Meaning, Stars and Rabbit, Lyric This thesis aims to find out the contextual and lexical meaning that found in the lyrics of Stars and Rabbit‟s Constellation Album. The data is 11 songs by Stars and Rabbit Constellation Album to be analyzed. This research used descriptive qualitative method in analyzing and describing the contextual and lexical meaning in Stars and Rabbit Constellation Album. The researcher analyzed the data by following some steps, first was collecting the data, second was identifying the data, the third was analyzing the data, the fourth was describing the data, and the last was drawing the conclusion. Based on the analysis, the researcher found 6 types of contextual meaning in the Stars and Rabbit Constellation based on Mansoer Pateda‟s theory, and found the contradiction in lexical meaning The result of this study describes the lexical and contextual meaning that found in Stars and Rabbit‟s Constellation Album, but not all the types of lexical and contextual are existed in that song. From 11 songs of Constellation Album, there are types of contextual meaning lexical that are found such as context of organs, context of purpose, context of situation, context of time, cotext of place, and mood context. The researcher expects this research will be useful for the other researchers who are eager to know more about semantics especially through meaning.
