This study aims to analyze the racial treatment experienced by a character named Jamal in the film Finding Forrester Mike Rich. The background is the notion that racial grievances are conflicting issues related to differences in the diversity of skin colors that still occur today. A figure that represents people who are victims of racial concern is Jamal Wallace. The purpose of this study is to explain the types of racial treatment and how Jamals struggles as a black person fight against racial treatment in the film Finding Forester. This study focuses on racial treatment in the film Finding Forrester by using monitoring theory by Fred L Pincus. Theoretically, this research is expected to be able to reveal forms of representation of resistance and the struggle against rebellion.
