Literature is part of a literary work. To study literature is very important because it reflect the life, thought, feeling, hebavior or attitude of human being. The thesis studies about literature which choose the autobiography “The Story Of My Life” by Helen Adams Keller as an object being analyzed it is because the character had been popular among the people and the story is interested. It is about the efforts of Helen Keller as a disable person to get succes in her life. The study focuses on outstanding personality and her efforts to get succes as a disable person, which has object of the study mainly to know kind of outstanding personality of Helen Keller and her efforts as a disable person to get succes. The subject of the study is “The Story Of My Life” as the primary data source that the writer uses in this study is utterance, description and the narration in Helen Keller autobiography, “The Story Of My Life”. The objectives of this study are to describe the outstanding personality and the efforts of Helen Keller as a disable person. The study uses one kind of instrument, it is the researcher herself. The researcher becomes the data collector, reader, interpretation and analyzer of this research finding. The primary data source is autobiography itself. After analyzing of literary devices, the outstanding personality and the efforts of Helen Keller as a disable person which is showed in The Story Of My Life, the writer finds many kinds outstanding personality and the efforts to get succes. Helen Keller is struggle, loving, pattient, confident, dreamer, sensitiveness, care, learner, and forgiving woman. When she had illness and make she blind, dumb and deaf, she never give up struggling until she get succes.
